|Description||Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois is seeking a Director of Galleries, Exhibitions and Collections.
The Department of Art invites applications for the full-time, 12-month professional position of
Director of Galleries, Exhibitions and Collections beginning in June 2012. The galleries and collections
are part of a dynamic art department with a national reputation for excellence in exhibitions and studio art. Primary responsibilities include leadership, strategic planning, fiscal management and publicity for two University galleries, a collection of over 1500 prints, paintings and photographs and an outdoor sculpture collection. The Director will plan and oversee a year round calendar of exhibitions and oversee the installation of selected artworks throughout the campus. The Director will be in charge of grant writing, managing student workers, and coordinating exhibitions in a variety
of media. There is also the opportunity to teach a studio class in Professional Practice for BFA Majors.
The Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Art.
