|Description||UC San Francisco in San Francisco, California is seeking a Senior Net Developer.
The Senior Software Developer has the responsibility for Technical Architecture, mentoring junior team members, development and delivery of software application related services and systems to clients including the Dean’s Office and its operating units (Admissions, Academic Affairs, Management, Office of Continuing Medical Education, Office of Human Resources, Finance, Office of Graduate Medical Education, Student and Curricular Affairs, and Controller/Compliance); the School of Medicine academic departments, organized research units, and interdisciplinary centers; the Medical Center.
The Senior Software Developer is required to achieve the following objectives: Greatly contribute to the technology vision to bring about a commitment to common technical solutions to academic or administrative needs within the campus, school, or Dean’s Office. Lead the technical team to implement the vision; provide Technical Architecture leadership for the development of academic and administrative systems and IT initiatives serving the Medical Center (e.g. Personnel Database), campus (e.g. Technical Partnership Program), school (e.g. Website development/hosting and HIPAA Security), Dean’s Office (e.g. Academic Affairs systems reengineering), and external clients (e.g. Ilios software for medical schools); advise internal clients on academic and administrative technology initiatives, new technologies, campus service and support options, and strategic direction for medical school technology; ensure that coding practices follows institutional policies, procedures, rules and practices needed to carry out the responsibilities of their positions. Develop and mentor staff so they achieve the desired technical skills. Provide technical oversight of services, systems and applications. Assure services and systems meet stated performance, security and available standards. Directly participate in multiple ongoing implementation projects for successful, on-budget, and on-time completion; contribute to planning for architecture, deployment, maintenance, and support of information management systems; and perform other duties as assigned.
