Description Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas is seeking a Business Assistant III-Retail.

Performs basic accounting procedures for daily cash deposits, change reports, and cash register banking functions, posting accounting revenue and credit transactions to the keeping unit record system and reconciling records; investigates errors on transactions and takes appropriate corrective action; responds to inquiries from facility management and Financial Accounting Support Services Dept.; receives and distributes cash drawers from cashiers verify cash logs and reports for overage and shortage records; prepares receipts and deposits forms. Assists in routine employee processing for the unit including assisting new employees in completing hiring and payroll documents, reviewing time sheets and preparing biweekly payroll documents for approval. Responsible for unit correspondence and records management. Files business documents, monitors and orders office supplies and other small purchases, receives and logs deliveries of goods, invoices, and checks for the unit. Serves as an information resource for the unit; assists in the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures within the unit and assists in the development of office procedures. Ensures compliance with all state and county health department and safety regulations and maintains high standards of sanitation as a priority. Demonstrate and enforce (Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points) HACCP and ServSafe principles to include the supervision and maintaining of the sanitary conditions of the food storage areas and other back of the house areas. Support and follow unit/department safety program and policies. Performs individual assigned tasks is a safe manner, utilizing personal protective items/equipment as appropriate, instructed and/or mandated by regulation. Reports unsafe actions or conditions to supervisor immediately. Ensure 100% on time compliance to university required training (Orientation to the A&M System; Ethics; Creating a Discrimination Free Workplace; Reporting Fraud, Waste and Abuse; Information Security Awareness CSCN).
