|Description||The University of Texas at Austin is currently seeking applications for an Events Manager - Guest Services Manager.
Monthly salary $3,333 negotiable depending on qualifications.
Assist with all aspects of Guest Services and support. Work events and functions as Front of House (FOH) Manager as assigned. Prepare necessary pre and post event paperwork for Ushers, House Staff and Security staff. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of layout, safety procedures and operating procedures for all venues supported by Texas Performing Arts. Manage FOH staff and Usher Volunteer programs. Develop training materials and syllabus, orientations and programs for House Managers, Ushers and Security staff. Manage all facets of TPASS, an online scheduling system for Ushers, House Managers, and Security staff. Actively recruit students to participate in Student Usher and House Management programs at Texas Performing Arts. Supervise and coordinate merchandise sales, and oversee merchandise settlements. Develop, implement and manage recognition programs for staff and volunteers. Write a bi-monthly newsletter for the Front of House area. Support the Assistant Director with managing security staff hiring, training, performance management and scheduling. Supervise FOH equipment load-ins, set-ups, performances, and strikes or load-outs as assigned. Manage all facets of Guest Services window including lost and found, Assisted Listening Devices, radio inventory, coat check, and related merchandise transactions. Collaborate continuously with Ticketing Services, Development and Marketing on all aspects of customer service to create and ensure a welcoming environment. Plan, direct, and execute special assignments at the request of management or administration. Attend and participate in appropriate meetings. Manage events related paper flow with accuracy and timeliness.
