Interprets primary archaeological data and uses Adobe Creative Suite to create or edit illustrations, architectural plans, charts, and tables for ICA publications. Digitally edits artifact illustrations from ICA's field projects in Italy and Ukraine adhering to house style guidelines and accepted academic standards. Assists in maintaining effective communication with authors regarding standards of graphic and print presentation. Lays out text and graphics, as assigned, for print and digital presentation, including sections of books, articles, annual reports, and slides for presentation. Prepares photographs (digital or digitized) for print publication and digital preservation. Scans primary archival documentation and enters related data into system. Consults routinely with supervisor to determine the best methods for preparing graphic materials to meet deadlines. Helps to promote a mutually educational environment among the design team. Consistently checks accuracy of all work performed. 244 Assists in related tasks as assigned and with general Institute tasks when requested.
