Salary Rate: $37,026 - $42,026

Georgia State University, Recreational Services, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, seeks a self-motivated, proactive, flexible professional to administer the entire aquatic program for the department. Facilities include the Aquatic Center (lap pool, leisure pool, spa, and sauna) in the award-winning 161,112 sq. ft. Student Recreation Center, and the Indian Creek Recreation Area outdoor pool (seasonal) located approximately 16 miles from campus. Selected applicant will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all lifeguards, swimming instructors, and safety class instructors. In addition, coordinate and teach department adult and children's swimming classes, as well as coordinate and teach safety classes and act as risk manager/safety officer for the department. Assist with the organization, scheduling, and equipment for the Scuba program. Have hands-on knowledge of pool equipment and operations; and experience with safety and risk management, event planning, aquatic programming, budget management, computer equipment and software, and effective oral & written communication skills.
